Ethiopia Yirgacheffe
Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. Not metaphorically — literally. The Coffea arabica plant originated in the forests of southwestern Ethiopia, and wild coffee still grows there today. When you drink Ethiopian coffee, you're drinking something with 1,000 years of history in every cup.
Our Ethiopia Yirgacheffe comes from the Gedeo Zone in southern Ethiopia — a UNESCO World Heritage agroforestry landscape where coffee grows under a dense canopy of native trees at elevations between 1,700 and 2,200 meters. Yirgacheffe is widely considered the world's finest washed coffee origin, producing a cup of extraordinary clarity, brightness, and floral complexity.
Expect jasmine and bergamot on the nose, a bright lemon-citrus acidity that's lively without being sharp, and a tea-like body that carries notes of peach, apricot, and a clean, lingering sweetness. This is a coffee that rewards a slower brew — pour-over or Chemex will let every layer reveal itself.
Yirgacheffe is the coffee that converts people. If you've ever thought you didn't like light roasts, this is the one that changes your mind.

A Note from the Roasters
“We roast Yirgacheffe lighter than almost anything else we carry, and we do it on purpose. The floral notes — jasmine, bergamot — are delicate. Push the roast too far and they disappear. We want you to taste what Ethiopia actually tastes like, not what our roaster did to it. This is the coffee we use to show people what specialty coffee can be.”
